Certification and Measurement
Dart Sails is a World Sailing In-House Certification sailmaker, licensed through the RYA. We’re approved to measure and certify sails against class rules and rating systems such as IRC and ORC.
Our Measurers
Dominic Hanley, Sean Semmens and Helen Pedrick have each trained and been appointed as In-House Certification measurers, alongside class measurer and event measurer appointments.
What it means for your sails
If you race and your new sails need certifying, we can do it here as part of the build, so they leave the loft ready to race. We can also measure sails from other lofts when an owner needs it.
Classes and rating systems
In-House Certification covers IRC and ORC, plus the one-design classes that take part in the World Sailing scheme. Not every class does, so if you're unsure about yours, ask and we'll check.
